Shrimp Ghallaba


Servings:
1 Protein
2 Vegetables
1 Dairy
1 Nutritional Supplement
1 Starch 

Suitable for Freedom plans only 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7 only


Ingredients:
1 serving of Fresh Shrimp (peeled and de-veined)
¼ medium Onion, sliced
½ cup Mushroom, sliced
½ medium Red Bell Pepper, sliced
6 oz. Plain, Low-fat Greek Yogurt
1 packet MWLC Cream of Chicken Soup Nutritional Supplement
½ fresh Lemon, juiced
1 tsp. Garlic Powder
1 tsp. Cardamom
1 tsp. Chili Powder
½ tsp. Onion Powder
½ tsp. Cinnamon, ground
Unflavored Non-Stick Cooking Spray
1 serving cooked Long Grain Brown Rice or Low Carb Tortilla 


Preparation:
Marinate 1 portion of Shrimp with the yogurt, all seasonings, lemon juice, and 1 packet Cream of Chicken in zip lock bag or covered bowl.

 
In a pan sprayed with unflavored non-stick cooking spray, sautee the sliced vegetables until tender.  Add the marinated shrimp and marinade to the skillet, cooking  on medium to high heat until thoroughly cooked.

This can be served over a serving of cooked long grain brown rice or with a low carb tortilla. (Each option counts as 1 Starch)
